Hi! I’m Alaiyah, the creator of Dip-A-Licious, and a third year San Jose Student studying marketing with a minor in Public Relations. I started this small business at the end of my sophomore year of college when decorating treats became my way to unwind and feel creative again. What began as stress relief quickly turned into my passion; and now I get to share that same sweetness and joy with others, one dipped treat at a time. Thanks for being part of my journey and supporting the dream that started in a tiny college kitchen. Here’s to more sweetness ahead!

After one of the most stressful seasons of my life, I was left with a hobby and my entrepreneurial spirit. I immediately started promoting my business through TikTok despite feeling unconfident in my treat-making ability.

I joined Facebook groups to find local vending events and finally got my first one with the San Bruno Improvement Group. I did not know what I was doing, but my boyfriend and my mom were super supportive of the idea. I even had to face my fear of crossing the Bay Bridge, which I thought I would never see the day. I ended up selling out of my first market, and from there I went on to do several more during the summer.

Weirdly enough, I couldn’t wait to go back to school because I knew that I was going to annoy anyone and everyone who would bother to listen about my business. San Jose State University has provided me with vending opportunities between numerous departments and even the chance to have my treats featured in the president’s suite during Homecoming week!
